Eileen M. Bonner Scholarship Award for Medical Excellence
This annual award recognizes an outstanding Reservist of the Medical Branch of one of the Uniformed Services or National Guard who has contributed above and beyond the call of duty to the military and civilian community and is furthering their medical education. This award consists of a $1,000 scholarship for furtherance of the candidate’s medical education. It will also include reimbursement of up to $1,000 in travel expenses to receive the award at the ROA National Convention.
Henry J. Reilly Scholarship
ROA will award up to twenty $2,500 scholarships to students pursuing courses of study leading to certificate, associate, bachelor, and graduate degrees. The program supports scholarships, fellowships, internships, and other programs. You must either be a regular or associate member or the child/grandchild of a regular or associate member of ROA. The scholarships are funded by the Henry J. Reilly Memorial Library and Scholarship Fund, itself funded by the ROA’s STARs Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization through which donors both help students and honor Reilly’s love of education.
Missouri ROA periodically develops Professional Development Seminars for military training of enlisted and junior officers. In addition, opportunities are made available to ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen to attend conferences and seminars as an additional compoent of their respective military training regimens.
Opportunities for attendance at one of these events are publicized through MOROA Chapter notices, announcements to component commanding officers and via the events page of this web site. Interested parties are encourage to periodically check with their commands or this web site to determine availability.
MOROA also provides Certificates to recognize the Outstanding Academic achievements attained by individual members of ROTC and JROTC units in Missouri. Requests for the acknowledgements should be generated by the appropriate ROTC/JROTC command and submitted electronically via the Contact Us page of this web site. Please note that we request at least a 30-day advance notice. The full name, rank/title and unit along with a short description of the achievements must be included in the request. Requests for a MOROA official to make the presentation will be considered based upon a MOROA member's availability.
