 2022 marked the 100th Anniversary of the creation of ROA by Missouri native, General John "Blackjack" Pershing, at the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC. As we enter the second century, the challenges facing the Armed Forces Reserve are greater than ever. 

As the VOICE of the Reserve, ROA will continue its mission to "...support and promote the development and execution of a military policy for the United States that will provide adequate National Security." The reserve force is a critical component of that mission. 

The 2022 ROA National Convention featured a presentation by Dr. Kurt Graham, Director of the Harry S Truman Presidential Library, in recognition of President Truman's support for ROA and the role of the reservist. As we move forward, we will update the information relative to the celebration of ROA's history and the Challenge of Tomorrow.

In May 2023, at the Missouri State Convention, Missouri ROA will continue the celebration with a program and presentation held at the Truman Presidential Library on Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2023.  This presentation will be open to the public.
